I am a recent convert to Dickens. I adore this story. In first person narrative Dickens depicts with great clarity, empathy and humor, the strange world of the new born, it's attendant practices (some of which are pretty scary) and the case of the new dad sandwiched between mother in law and the infants nurse. His world has turned somersault! A great read.
